On 11–12 June 2026, Astana hosted the 16th International Mining and Metallurgy Congress and Exhibition (AMM 2026), one of Kazakhstan’s flagship events for the mining and metals industry.

This year’s congress brought together more than 2,000 delegates from 16 countries. It became a key platform for dialogue on industry development, international cooperation, and exploring the role of AI and emerging technologies in industrial transformation.

At the event, Alexey Shilin, Head of the Robotics Steering Committee of the QAZTECH Alliance, discussed advanced solutions to improve industrial safety and efficiency, with a focus on drone-robots for underground mine monitoring.

As Alexey Shilin explained:
“Drone-robots allow the creation of 3D models of mine workings and the detection of cracks, spalling, collapses, deformations, leakages, and other hazardous changes at an early stage, before accidents occur. They provide safe inspection of hard-to-reach areas without risk to personnel, helping ensure timely decision-making and improve industrial safety.”
QAZTECH’s participation in AMM 2026 reflects our ongoing commitment to supporting advanced technologies and the modernization of industrial processes. We see innovation and digital transformation as key drivers of competitiveness and Kazakhstan’s long-term economic growth.
