The QAZTECH Alliance held a meeting with its Board of Trustees and QAZTECH Club members to review its achievements in 2024 and outline key priorities for the year ahead.

Over the past year, the Alliance focused on advancing high-tech sectors, including e-commerce, fintech, telecommunications, robotics, and telemedicine. Discussions also covered systemic analytics, legislative initiatives, and strengthening cooperation with government agencies to support industry growth.

The Steering Committee for Strategy and Analytics has conducted a series of in-depth analytical projects, including research on state tax policy and growth prospects for the e-commerce sector. In collaboration with the Ministry of Trade and Integration, strategic measures have been developed to strengthen support for local platforms. Additionally, an expert roundtable on Kazakhstan’s economic model was held, where the "QAZTECH 2025 Guide" was presented. Looking ahead, the committee plans to conduct enterprise diagnostics across key economic sectors and undertake a study on the future of the telecommunications industry.

The Steering Committee for Telecommunications of the Alliance continues to play a vital role in advancing communications legislation. Its representatives have joined a working group tasked with drafting the "Law on Communications" and have hosted a strategic session to drive discussions on the matter.

As part of the venture financing initiatives, key market players and regulators (MDDIAI RK, National Bank) convened to discuss the establishment of a Fund of Funds (FoF). Following these discussions, recommendations for its launch were developed. Additionally a dedicated side event is planned for CEVF 2025.

The QAZTECH Club, representing over 77 leading local technology companies, engaged with domestic enterprises such as QARMET and JSC Kazpost, presenting innovative solutions to pressing business challenges. This collaborative effort will continue, driving further industry advancements.

The Alliance's Steering Committee for Information Security is actively raising awareness among citizens and businesses about digital threats (with more than 30 media appearances). Additionally, committee representatives have tested three products developed by Kazakhstani companies and hosted the Cyber & Digital Security forum. Upcoming plans include a series of informational security events for Critically Important Information and Communication Infrastructure (CICI) and the implementation of the second phase of the "Trusted Suppliers Map" project.

In the field of robotics, QAZTECH has become the only member of the International Federation of Robotics (IFR) in the CIS. The Steering Committee for Robotics of QAZTECH now includes global industry leaders such as KUKA, Fanuc, Kawasaki, Estun, ZEBRA, SEER, and others. To align with international standards, statistical reporting on robotics has been harmonized. Looking ahead, the Alliance is set to participate in the world’s leading exhibition for intelligent automation and robotics — automatica Munich.

In its upcoming plans, QAZTECH will prioritize practical initiatives aimed at:

  • Boosting business innovation activity
  • Strengthening technological competencies across enterprises
  • Integrating international technology management standards
  • Supporting the country’s technological policy

To achieve these objectives, the Alliance is set to establish the Factory 4.0 Technology Center in Kazakhstan in collaboration with international and local technology companies.

The center will bring together critical "Industry 4.0" technologies into a unified production ecosystem — including digital design, robotic automation, artificial intelligence, digital twins, and other advanced solutions.

"Today, these technologies have become a key driver for international competitiveness. That is why, within the framework of the technology center, we aim to showcase and promote the impact of these innovations through real-world cases and examples. Our focus will also be on developing and testing Kazakhstani solutions, as well as providing training and engineering support for enterprises," emphasized Asset Issekeshev, Chairman of the Board of Trustees.
